WELCOME

A WELCOME MESSAGE

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

“I would like to welcome you to The Casco High School. This new division of The Casco School group is built upon the success of our primary school. The building situated in the historic and cultural centre of Casco Antiguo provides an unprecedented setting for learning. One where students learn in a diverse and inclusive community in modern facilities. Our open plan student centre promotes students to collaborate on projects, socialize and received tailored support from our team. The classrooms for each subject encourage a depth and breath of study that can only be delivered in a personalised approach. As Academic Director I would invite all families to visit our school, meet our diverse and motivated teaching team and experience the boutique and nurturing environment of The Casco High School.”

OUR CORE VALUES

THE MEANINGFUL THINGS

IN OUR SCHOOL...

Mission Statement

– To offer a boutique, bilingual and British education, creating ambitious, confident and resilient global citizens with a lifelong love of learning. –

The Casco High School.-

We are Lifelong Learners

We use a bilingual British curriculum as our framework to inspire a learning journey tailored to your child’s individual needs and interests. Our holistic approach applies to an international context, helping your child connect their learning locally and globally. Developing global citizenship and instilling a passion for learning is at the centre of everything we do.

We Create & Innovate

Our partnership with the El Lunario family cultural centre allows your child to discover and master artistic expression through music, art and movement. The creative curriculum of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) encourages your child to explore their curiosity and creativity, enabling them to investigate and shape the world around them.

We Nurture

Working hand in hand with parents, we create a safe, kind and nurturing environment in which your child feels like they are learning within an extension of the home.

We are a Community

Our boutique, community-based schools bring together the whole neighbourhood. Through partnerships, cultural events and educational support, we inspire child-led change and innovation within the local community and beyond.

CAMPUS

THE CASCO

IS OUR CAMPUS!

The Casco School is unique in character and designed to meet the needs of its community. We offer a genuinely engaging global education for students aged 1 to 14, nestled in the heart of Panama’s iconic old city, Casco Viejo. Our school is creative and dynamic, based on a solid community of families seeking a neighbourhood school with a difference. We have families enrolled from over 27 countries, all wishing to align with our international ethos.

@VisitPanama

UNESCO World Heritage Site

The curriculum is enriched by our location in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our students are able to take advantage of the unique opportunities afforded to them by being in Casco Viejo, including the range of museums and galleries nearby, the beach and community parks. We also have established links within our community, such as the Danilo Pérez Foundation, Olga Sinclair Foundation and local artists residing in our neighbourhood who enhance our curriculum and experiences for students.

PARENTS

VISITS AND

CONSULTATIONS

Parent links help drive our community spirit and foster an understanding between the home and school. This leads to a positive, trusting and secure learning environment where all opinions are valued.

IMG_3409

We invite our parents into school to participate in lessons, which provides an opportunity to see your child’s learning environment first-hand. Educational visits are another fun way for parents to participate in school life and we encourage you to chaperone when possible.

We hold parent consultations four times a year with our teachers, enabling you and your child to review the learning that has taken place and discuss his or her upcoming targets for development. Progress reports keep you informed of your child’s development during the year.

Additionally, if you wish to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss any aspect of their learning, outside of the parent consultations, teachers are available to meet before and after school by appointment.
